also forecasts that the industry will grow by another 7% in 2024, continuing to expand both online and
land-based gambling sectors.

A new initiative called GamProtect was launched to help prevent gambling-related harm by allowing operators
to share information on vulnerable players. The scheme is designed to protect individuals struggling with
gambling addiction and ensure that their accounts can be flagged and closed across multiple platforms.
